Why We Started
When my grandfather passed away, and later when others in my life did too, I found myself struggling with what to say. “I’m sorry for your loss” felt empty, and no words seemed to ease the grief. I wished there was something I could do, something meaningful that could help in a time when everything feels overwhelming.
I realized that grieving isn’t just about loss. It’s about remembering. It’s about keeping the stories, laughter, and love alive. But in those difficult moments, gathering memories, organizing photos, and creating something beautiful is often the last thing on our minds.
That’s why we created A Life Portrait, to give people a way to grieve on their own terms.
